It’s no secret that the women in marketing are making waves across the industry. These marketing tigresses are inspiring, experienced, and definitely could take you on in a “Marketing Bee” competition. As I was building this list there were so many influential women that it was tough to narrow the list to only 15. There are many other women out there that are rocking the industry, but these 15 are the ones who inspire me the most. These industry thought leaders are must follows for anyone in marketing. 

Alexandra Wheeler

Alexandra is the VP of Global Digital Marketing for Starbucks. She helped to coin the phrase a “networked” brand, describing connecting digital and physical into a meaningful experience. She has also helped Starbucks to obtain over 40 million social followers. Alex is a fierce one to watch.

Mari Smith

Canadian born Mari Smith is one of the top leaders in Social Media thought leadership. She offers online Facebook Training Classes, and is also a renowned speaker and author. Currently she is working with Facebook on a series of educational events called “Boost Your Business” across the country.

Lara Balazs

Lara Balazs is the SVP, Head of North America Marketing for Visa Inc., Lisa was recently quoted in Venturebeat saying “Something is happening in marketing,” talking about how marketers are responding to the intersection of digital and print. Lara is at the forefront of holistic marketing, and one to watch.

Eve is the CEO of Social Media Delivered. She has also been branded as the LinkedIn Queen. If you’re looking to amp up your LinkedIn strategy, Eve is your girl. She also wrote the “Get It Girl Guide to Online Dating” if you’re looking for a special someone.
